Clever Albert and Ernie are two ponies who surprised on social networks by a viral video that circulates on YouTube, where they are seen applying their knowledge of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to a rider who fell lying on the ground.
In the video shared by professional trainer Emma Massingale you can see the ponies Clever Albert and Ernie replicating the cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) procedure, which includes cycles of chest compressions and artificial respiration in the event a person suffers cardiac arrest.
The 36-year-old woman from Devon, England, convinced her husband Jeremy to act as the “patient” and taught the pair of ponies to apply the cardiac resuscitation maneuver in case someone suffers cardiorespiratory arrest. The video has gone viral among YouTube users who have immediately shared it on the walls of their profiles.
“I just wanted to show people that ponies and horses can be as smart and useful as dogs. They can be trained to do amazing things in the same way that service dogs do and can carry out all kinds of useful jobs that people may not have considered before, “said the video’s author.
